Roundtrip editing of Photoshop PSD files in Flash Catalyst
The Adobe® Flash® Catalyst® CS5.5 FXG Roundtrip Extension for Adobe Photoshop® CS5 (Photoshop CS5 FXG Extension) enables roundtrip editing of Photoshop PSD files that have been imported into Flash Catalyst. Using this extension, designs created in Photoshop can be brought into Flash Catalyst, converted to components, and interactions added. When designs need to change, Flash Catalyst integrates with Photoshop to interchange artwork for efficient, iterative design changes.
After installing the extension, designers working in Flash Catalyst can take advantage of the "Edit in Photoshop CS5" feature with raster objects, work with the rich editing capabilities of Photoshop CS5 to make changes, then use the "Simplify Layers for FXG" script to send the design changes back to Flash Catalyst, which automatically updates the artwork with the changes.
This extension will work with both Flash Catalyst CS5.5 and Flash Catalyst CS5; however, Photoshop CS5.1 is required for compatibility with Flash Catalyst CS5.5.
