Language Pack:Reader

This page briefly describes the Language Pack that has been developed specifically for Adobe Reader.
The Language Pack for Adobe Reader is developed by creating language specific files that contain only the UI components for the Adobe Reader application. These language specific files then get installed on top of an already installed, Latin language Adobe Reader.
After the Language Pack installation, the user has the option of running the application in either the language Reader originally installed as, or the additional language available from the language specific files.
Things to note is that the product Help is not localized as part of the Language Pack, and dialogs and other user interface components that come from the operating system are also not localized.
We are providing our first Adobe Reader Language Pack for the Catalan language. You can read about and download it in English from this page, or in Catalan from this page.
We hope that you will give it a test drive and find the installation and language selection processes to be acceptable, and the overall Language Pack experience to be positive. We would like to hear comments about our implementation, and at present, we are asking that feedback be provided in the Spanish language forums at Adobe's website.
