Installing Flex/Adobe AIR Help plugin breaks Flex Builder
Following the instructions to install the updated Flex/Adobe AIR Help plugin ( flexbuilder3_b1_docs_update_061107 ) critically breaks Flex Builder 3 on Mac OS X.
My guess would be that the deleting of the entire contents of the plugins folder did the trick:
- Delete the contents of the current Help plugin folder. Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\plugins\com.adobe.flexbuilder.help_3.0.<build number>. Mac OS: Applications\Adobe Flex Builder 3\plugins
This is the error upon launch:
!MESSAGE Exception launching the Eclipse Platform: !STACK java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find framework at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.getBootPath(Main.java:639) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.basicRun(Main.java:274) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.run(Main.java:977) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.main(Main.java:952)
Yeah, I noticed that looked a bit extreme, I assumed it to be a typo and installed them into: /Applications/Adobe Flex Builder 3/plugins/com.adobe.flexbuilder.help_<number>/
