Vista64bit
Hey, I know adobe is working very hard on getting the dng format as a standard, a great idea! Why doesnt this codec not support 64bit systems? 64bit systems tend to work with better preformance will there be a release for the 64 systems? Maybe even a 64bit version of photohop itself?

Sigh - I note the previous comment was added in MAY and there still isn't 64-bit Vista support...
2/2/09: 8 months later, still no Vista 64 support. Work harder Adobe.
5/9/9: Now were on to Windows 7 64-bit RC... still nothing in the 64-bit realm = fail.
Lightroom 2 is vista 64 bit compaitable. So.... where is the vista 64 bit codec? From my understanding, it is taking forever for adobe to address this issue and it doesn't look like it is going to come out any time soon. At least give us something to work with. Anyone who is serious about high levels of photo manipulation and management uses 64 bit anyways, so please give us something!
xp user
actually raw codec can be used in xp sp3 (embedd wic) or sp2 user with windows imaging component (wic).
with the software such as windows live gallery, the raw image view normal as viewed as in Vista.
Please allow installation on Windows XP as well
Note: You can work around this installation restriction and I've been using this DNG Codec on Windows XP SP2 for a couple of months now with no ill effect.
Microsoft's .Net Framework 3.5 added the ability for .Net code to work with RAW images, using codecs to insulate the developer from camera compatibility issues. Windows Live Gallery (mentioned above) is just one example of a program that makes use of this capability.
Can you please allow your installer to operate on Windows XP, and verify the codec's operation there? It is possible that the installer update ts the only code change required to allow operation on Windows XP.
64-bit Codecs
Adobe, this would be the right moment and the right place to leave a comment about 64-bit codec availability.
