to do data connection do you need then Eclipse version installed?
I can not believe that you did not allow for installing the beta 3 version on an eclipse installation that has beta 2 installed. You are forcing me to re-install all my plugins or search for a backup. I hope this is just a beta problem and NOT final product issue. This would be unacceptable! You are following a very intrusive way of installing the plugin and as such you need to make sure a user can uninstall it or install on top of it. The issue should be a major or critical priority bug!!
