At MAX2007, they said to expect it in a year :(; but I guess betas will be out sooner.--Yozef0 01:26, 16 Oct 2007 (PDT)
Pretty Amazing
Saw this demoed at MAX today... and all I can say is that this product is amazing. I simply cant wait to try it out!
I would like to try out Thremo as soon as they accept applications for pre-release participation. Any idea when that will be?
UI
I really like the clean and simple UI of Thermo. Having not seen the latest demos, i'm not sure if it will stay as it is (probably not), but I appreciate a UI devoid of clutter and useless decor (ie. icons to the max!). I use Softimage XSI for my animation work, and one of the reasons i think it works so well and people can generally pick it up quickly and easily is that it has a predonimately text based interface - so i'm not constantly trying to decypher what each icon is/or does...
Relly looking forward to Thermo!!!

Here's another wish to be a pre-beta tester.
Educational uses
This seems like it has some serious potential for creating rich, interactive, educational environments. I would love to take a look at this when a beta or pre-beta is released.
Thermo would be a wonderful addition to our work flow as we design content for the iPhone. A beta would be much appreciated. --jcdphd 06:01, 15 Mar 2008 (PDT)
Would Love to Beta Test
As an experience planner who is in the field designing user interfaces daily, I have a strong interest in this tool. I'd love to be a beta (or pre-beta) tester. Please just let me know!
This seems pretty promising... I would love to get in the beta pre-release to see this one in action. Please count me in when this will be available.
This system looks very interesting. I am especially intrigued as I have been involved in developing educational software since 1984 and we have experimented and struggled with cost-effective development and delivery methods for what are usually very low-volume titles.
Is there an ETA for when it might be possible to experiment with Thermo?
Another Beta Vote
09:02, 30 Oct 2007 (PDT)
I'm really curious to learn more. Information is very sparse, but depending on how this develop, Thermo could potentially fill a huge need for information architecture storyboarding/pre-prototyping – existing tools are completely inappropriate for most modern experience-driven sites.
And Another Beta Vote
Thermo looks absolutely fantastic. What I love the most is the natural connection it makes between designers and developers. Would *love* to be part of a pre-beta release group.
Love to test
Is beta released yet? I would love to test it. Would love* to be part of a pre-beta release group?
thanks
Love to test
I t would be great to be involved in the Beta testing of this, we have the perfect project for it starting in the new year. Anyone know of any conference's coming up in the UK where Adobe will be discussing Thermo?

Could be Adobe's most successful product?
Judging by the audience reaction and the number of media professionals could leap forward into RIA's, Adobe should drop everything else and run with Thermo before the competition even gets a foothold. Put me on the list for beta testing please.
Just my 0.02c

Timeframe
I'd like to get into the beta cycle but is there ballpark timeframe for this at all? Is it a matter of months or quarters? bestpractice 16:13, 23 Nov 2007 (PST)
More Info
i know they said more in 2008 but where can we get more info now , what's happening , what is the goal release date? When WILL beta trials open up and how does one become a beta tester?? Please, Please more info...give is an update site...or maybe we could create one?? Hmmm...
Yet another beta volunteer
Please add us to the list of people who are dying to beta test this. We've created a templating tool by pushing Fireworks well beyond its limits but it doesn't give us usable code so it is less than it could be. This sounds awesome.
Beta believe I'd like to test this !
I'm liking what I see. I've been wading through the candy store of Spry and Fireworks and Javascript and InDesign and Acrobat and Flash and Flex and suffering significant anxiety about how to put parts together. I feel like the cavalry is on the way! --Michael Everitt 08:26, 29 Nov 2007 (PST)
Another BETA Vote!
Wow, this tool is just simply amazing. It think it will cut my development time in half on heavy UI projects. I would definetely love to participate in a beta test.
AMAZING!!!
Let me know how and when can i get a beta test i love to test!!!!

Would also love to test the Beta ver
I am much more an artist than developer, but I have wished to make my own programs for a long time. This product looks amazing.
Would also love to test
I am an artist, not developer, but this product could take what I do even further.
Beta or Pre Beta please
Could you email me when this product goes into beta? It's about time someone did something like this, I think you'll find lot of interest.
make it produce a webpage!
Just a small piece of opinion. Looks great but at the wrong platform. I am a content guy and likes to follow whats going on in the computer industry. What we need is some new good tools making webpages which is the platform we use now. Maybe we use Flex in 15 years. Something like Thermo would be great if it could produce the same stuff in xhtml/css and .. is it rails this chrstmas? Thermo looks nice. So thanks, but not work to much on this. Fix up buggy superslow Dreamweaver instead...
Beta Tester Availabe
it will be great to teast it.

Would like to test
I am very excited about this product, I would like to know when it would be available. Thanks.
Still no release date for Thermo? I'd read somewhere that it could be as long as a year? ........We're all drooooooooling here ---I can't wait to see what I can accomplish with Thermo!
Count me in
Wow! Did you see the video on Edge?
Please include me in the beta!
--Richard Braxton 11:51, 10 Dec 2007 (PST)
Thanks for "Edge" Link - Even more interesting
Appreciate the link to see Thermo a bit more. Glad to know progress continues. Hope it is available for trying out soon.
Looks nice
I really want to test this one

Adobe is getting better and better
Adobe is getting better and better and I can really see Adobe's direction. Adobe would be one of the leader in the market very soon, both in designing and application development. That's a cool combination.
From AIR, to FLEX, To Thermo (of course with other exciting product releases), it only bring more joys to me. I love to be part of the community and want to be the hardcore developer and supporter for Adobe.
While the Thermo does look very cool and makes everyone very keen to try it out. I wonder whether beside joining as a Beta Tester, would it be a good idea to put it as one of the Adobe Open Source initiative product range?
I mean, Adobe Creative Suite has all along the mainstream of Adobe, so I wonder Thermo would be the key product under Adobe OSI?
Hmm.. but it would definitely become an industry standard very soon. By watching the video, I'm impressed and very keen to lay my hands on Thermo very soon.
Cheers and good job Adobe!
Regards, Jenson
At Last!
From what I've seen so far, looks like an exciting application for those of us who are all too aware of the chasm between interface designer and developer.
Also, as a prototyping tool it looks promising - can't wait to have a go so please add me to the beta test list too!
All the best to the Thermo development team
Caroline Pickering
Adobe is awesome
This is the tool that I have been waiting for! Can I please be added to the BETA list when something is ready.. or is it possible to get an early, early beta release? You all are great! Matthew Korte [[1]]
AIR + Thermo = New Heights
I have an idea for an ecommerce widget using AIR and Thermo and would love to be involved with the beta testing. This was by far the most exciting news out of the MAX conference.
Join the Beta/Pre-Beta testers
The product seems to be promising and will join a big competence in the world of RIA, as a developer\designer I'd like to join the beta/pre-beta testers Mohammed.abdulaziz
Pls add me to the beta test list
As an interaction designer, I'd love to try this app
I Would Like To Join The Beta Testers List
This sounds like an amazing tool. As an interaction designer, with 13 years of experience with Photoshop and the Macromedia applications suite - this is very exciting. Certainly a mandatory tool for my team. If possible, please include me in the list of beta testers. TIA. - Dudu
I want to beta Thermo!
Please add me to the list of beta testers (if possible). I'm anxious to try Thermo as soon as possible.
Best regards, Russell Wilson Vice President of Product Design, NetQoS blog: http://www.dexodesign.com
Thermo is HOT!
Thermo is everything I need RIGHT NOW. Developing my first RIA as a designer and finding Flex very code oriented... sign me up as a Beta Tester too... I would love to have access to a tool that allowed me to continue working visually. As a user of Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash etc I feel I could work seamlessly with Flex, Thermo and all of my existing graphic software.
michelle willmotz@idx.com.au
Oh oh Thermo, pick me!!!
Thermo demo floored me. All I could think of was "that is exactly what I need". I know the application I want to design, I know how it should work, but I need one of them coding Gurus like Mike Chambers, Senocular, Joey Lott, Mike Potter and any of the great technology evangelist standing with me through the coding sessions. Thermo will be my Technology Evangelist. Adobe, please let me at it. Oh oh oh, Thermo, pick me

I'm very interested in getting in on the first beta release of Thermo, sign me up.

WOW! I can't wait!
I am a stay at home mom, volunteer and freelance designer/developer who is heavily involved in development of education applications for my children's schools. I can't tell you how much this could positively impact the work in the education field. It would allow us to accomplish many of our tasks so much more quickly.
Our kids deserve so much better than they are getting. I really want to help move this project forward so that designers and developers are able to provide better projects for our kids more quickly. I volunteer all my development time for the schools. I sit here and imagine how much more I could accomplish in the same amount of time with quality products like this. As parent volunteers we are tapped out! We give so much and I feel like the results do not reflect the amount of time put into our work. It always takes so much more time than it should.
Projects like Thermo might help to bridge that gap.
Please keep us posted on how we can get this out in beta faster. Anything we can do to help....let us know!!! angela@acuteconsulting.com
Un francais pour tester thermo ?
thermo is just incredible !!! i would like to be part of a pre-beta release group
Thanks a lot for this REVOLUTION
Interested in beta testing
I'm really interested in getting in touch with this technology as soon as it will be available for beta testers.

Beta begging!
Wow, I bet it's a tough job being in the Adobe Beta Test Administration department... As I was reading through the thread, I was a bit reminded of walking through a poor neighborhood in Cuba with children flocked about hoping for a chance to carry a suitcase or pick your wife some flowers in return for a dime or a quarter... Hehe...
But hey, who am I to judge! I'm all over this like a fat kid on ice cream! This looks phenomenal.
There is one divide which is most prominent in the world of web and that is the divide between the designer and the developer. The visualizers and the numerical architect's. Recently with Flex hammering out such amazing capabilities in the web production world, I would almost say the Coders have had it good! I have been struggling along with it, but I sure could use a visual interface system to simplify and take all of these numbers and script away from me... I work best in shapes and colors...
It's well time a good platform should come along and lend itself to the development of interactive media at the capable hands of the visual creative s out there...
It seems Thermo will do just this...
Has anyone heard or had any thoughts on weather we will see a "Creative Suite CS? - Developer Premium + Standard editions" packing Flex and Thermo maybe? After licensing Production Premium and Design Premium I don't know how I would be enticed to buy another suite, but..
I will pay full retail price to have the opportunity to Beta this product!

When, when, when???
Alpha, Beta, any version will do - really need this application. Begging for a copy as well.
No feed on this page for non-commenters?'
Oh well [insert obligatory "i love adobe" comment here] in order to [insert obligatory plea for beta-testing here] tim [at] designhenge [dot] com
Jaw-dropping
As a designer, this is the most exciting thing I've seen in years. I know it's begging, but I'd love a chance to be a part of the beta....the things designers (and developers) could do with this fluid workflow are awesome to think about. If you folks over at Adobe need another beta tester, drop me a line at cue.alex[at]gmail.com !!!!
Alex Cue 07:19, 6 Feb 2008 (PST)
Awesome, can i join the beta?
Im a developer, but my roots lay in design, went to art college for a long time, nowadays fulltime developer, is it possible to test Thermo beta out? Drop me a line at flexyjean[at]gmail.com
Flash 10 IDE?
Is thermo the next gen flash IDE?
For someone like me (as comfortable with nuts and bolts application design as visual design) - if Thermo were to support advanced IDE coding features (autocomplete, formatting, folding, refactoring, versioning etc) in standing with advanced visual (application) design features... . cant quite express how deadly that would be.... would certainly add a new twist to IDE wars.
and...
erm....
count me in as a beta beggar
Beta testing Thermo
I t would like to be involved in the Beta testing of this. I would see if there are possibilities to learn our students of Communication en Multimedia Design to work with this application. Please tell me when it's possible. marjon.westra@hu.nl
Thermo beta
Hi Adobe.
I'm the perfect user profile for a Thermo beta tester. I hate to write code. I use Photoshop daily. And, I author websites with medialab's Sitegrinder. Unless I'm not seeing the Thermo vision clearly, I define the profile of your ideal user. Please notify me when you reach the alpha/beta, early testing stages, because I will help you to help a wide swath of users like me who need Thermo to be a great product. Thank you.

Look forward to playing with this!!!
I have had my eye on this since last year. When are you guys going to open up the beta testing and how can I get on the list? Nice work --HomerGaines 13:54, 14 Mar 2008 (PDT)
xxmikepost216xx@aol is the best person for beta testing!!
PICK ME!!!
Hi Adobe,
WOW!
We have a well grounded business need for THERMO... to a desperate degree!
I've a heavy duty design (graphics and data processing) and large data processing development, so Thermo would be perfect for me to carry the project one end to the other. We have a small shop that has an IBM iSeries backbone, and are moving to an .net/html presentation layer. But we're culturally challenged because of the evolution process. We want the business logic reside on the iSeries via stored procedures due to the security of the architecture, but I want it to look and feel as beautiful as the web presentation is capable.
Please add me to the list of Beta hopefuls for this product.
Thank you. --lsieu 13:23, 21 Mar 2008 (PDT)
Thermo would make life easier.
I am a developer who has just moved to IS from the Creative side. I am often asked to take the photoshop designs and convert them to a flex interface.
This tool would knock off hours of my time. Would love to participate in the Beta program.
ric_aruffo@neimanmarcus.com
I just started using Flex 3 and would love to Beta Thermo
I'm a newspaper/online graphics editor. This looks promising, especially for students in design and journalism courses. This past weekend I taught an introduction to Flash graphics seminar at the University of Kentucky. An approach such as Thermo offers would be welcomed in many organizations.
How do I get on a list to beta test Thermo?
-Bill Pitzer bpitzer@charlotteobserver.com
So where is the beta of Thermo? Since Microsoft released their blend and attracted a lot of people with their concept of easily creating animations and even include their .NET technology there should somthing happen very soon or I see people using Silverlight instead of Thermo...

Thermo looks fantastic
Any chance of getting on to an Alpha or Beta for this product? Super keen to see this from the programmers perspective as well as design. Would love to see whats happening with Flex 4 as well. I have been following the Open source Flex SDK and have noticed commits for Vectors and Player versions.
